SUMMER 2013 NEWSLETTER:

Here is the gang taking a rest after planting in the greenhouse.  The plants are already in the ground and we are having fresh salads daily.

It has always been amazing to me that these young adults love to WORK!  My American children would run away rather than do garden work and the kids here can't wait for spring to plant.  Its a God thing, He gives them the drive.

In Missions there is always wonderful news but now and then, just like in real life, some of the bad sneaks in.  We found out that Maria has cancer and though we all went through a dreadful time of sorrow over this news, we are now beginning to see what a glorious world she will be entering soon.  Maria has always been confined to a prone position, has never walked, talked or mobile in any way.  Now we all understand she is going home to have the time of her afterlife with Jesus!  Please pray for her and the rest of the mission that we will be ready to let her go.

SUMMER 2012 NEWSLETTER:

Dear Friends and Family,

We have had a lot of activity this summer and some of it I'm glad to see the end of!

Bad news first, Georgie, from Casa Hannah has tuberculosis.  I went to Ohio for a new knee, that all went well, but it was then that we found out he was in the hospital.  The TB hospital is quite nice, we supply all Georgies needs but they are taking good care of him and we expect him to come home in about 6 months when he is no longer active.  This is what they told us anyway.  Georgie is severely handicapped and needs total care.

We have only arrived home a few days ago so lots of work to be done.  The kids are all excited about my new stainless steel knee and want to see my scar all the time and hear the story.  I stayed in a nursing home after surgery for 2 weeks and then went to our daughters home for 6 weeks.  All is well and PT is working great.  My hospital bill alone was $78,000, PRAISE GOD FOR MEDICARE! My part was just over $700.

While we were in Ohio, Central Baptist from Round Rock Texas came out and took 9 of our children to a Christian camp in the mountains for one week, everyone had a great time, this is the second time they have gone and we look forward to more in the future.

Money is tight, we realize everyone is having hard times but we ask please stay with us, no matter what the amount you donate, that money is saving lives of children who cannot even speak their needs, its filling food baskets for the widowed and elderly and we are still praying about doing a soup kitchen sometime in the future, when God speaks.  Our little church has doubled attendance in the past year, we Praise God for touching the hearts and minds of the Romanians and letting them see the truth.

We thank all of you who have made this all happen for the past 22 years.  God bless you all, please pray that Georgie comes home soon.
By the way, we were all tested and none of us have TB, only through Him do we survive.

From His Fields of Harvest,
Bruce and Sandie

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being stained.
